Specialised Early Years Tutor in Palm Beach, Gold Coast
Hello ~ jingeri! I’m Jayne, known to many Little Learners as Mrs Jayne.
I’ve been an Early Childhood Teacher for 26 years. I offer tutoring from my home in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, specialising in Little Learners.
What I offer
I specialise in Early Years Teaching – educating children aged 3 to 8 years old – in Kindergarten, Prep, Years 1 and 2. I am passionate about holistic education, I believe that teaching social, emotional, physical and creative skills is just as important as teaching literacy and numeracy skills. I support children’s individual needs by differentiating learning experiences, acknowledging varied learning styles and celebrating individual interests and strengths. My focus on inclusive education intensified following the diagnoses of Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder and Generalised Anxiety for my eldest daughter.
I value the unique strengths, abilities and learning styles of learners of all ages. I enjoy integrating art, craft, nature play, sensory experiences, project-based learning and indigenous perspectives into my teaching practice. It’s important to me that children have choices during learning, that they have access to hands-on resources and time to play both indoors and out.
I also support other Early Years educators by creating learning resources that I sell online in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

FAQ’s
Q – Do you complete assessments?
A – Yes, I can complete informal assessments and give verbal or written feedback. A range of tools are used to assess your child’s strengths and areas of need.
Q – Do you require specialist reports?
A – No, reports from specialists are not required, but sharing a copy of your child’s Kindy / Prep / school report from their teacher or feedback from any specialists your child visits will inform my planning for your child’s sessions. I can integrate appropriate goals from your child’s Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy or NDIS Plan into our sessions.
Q – How often will my child need to attend?
A – Typically children attend every week for at least one term to consistently practice skills, improve confidence and build persistence.
Q – Do you have a cancellation policy?
A – Yes, so I can provide services to a maximum number of children, I do ask families to give as much notice as possible for known absences. This enables me to offer extra sessions to existing clients or to families wanting a trial session. My cancellation policy is detailed above in the prices section.
